Block B controversial Thai interview Part 2

Previously, Seoul Awesome reported the incident of Block B’s controversial interview in Thailand. Besides Zico(지코)’s shaved head and written apology, Block B (블락 비) did a video on their Youtube Channel; their face showing regret and remorse. The video has subtitle in Korean, Thai and English.

저희가 최근에 태국에 가서 있던 일에 대해서 정말 죄송합니다.
We are very sorry for the things that happened in Thailand recently.
저희 행동들이 태국 분들에게 피해를 드릴 수 있다는 드릴 수 있다는 점을 생각 못했다는 부분이 너무 부끄럽고 어리 석었고 어떻게 용서를 구해야 할지 모르겠습니다.
The fact that we didn’t think that our actions and damage the Thai people was very stupid and embarrassing and we don’t know how to ask for your forgiveness.

저희가 현장 분위기를 판단하지 못한점을 인정하고 너무 이가적인 거 같아 대단히 죄송합니다.
We acknowledge that we made a hasty judgement of the atmosphere of the location and that was very selfish and we are greatly sorry.
저희가 의도적으로 누구에게 상처를 주려고 한 것을 절대로 아니었지만 저희 어리석은 행동이상처와 피해를 드려 정말 죄송합니다.
We never meant to hurt anyone but it was childish and we’re very sorry for causing harm.
여러분 앞에서 당장 설 수는 없겠지만.
I know we can’t stand before you right now.

Block B apologize

Under such stress from the public, Block B’s 19-year-old maknae, P.O was hospitalized. It seems to be too much to handle for them especially for the maknae as there was even a petition asking for suicide of the members.

2PM’s Nichkhun tweeted with sympathy regarding the suicide petition, “Please, don’t say things like “wish someone would die” but hope they would learn. Like we all do, like I did from my own mistakes.”

Nichkhun once also stirs controversy on his comment of March 11th East Japan Earthquake comparing natural disasters to rearranging bedroom; though many fans felt that that was nothing wrong stating an analogy.

Block B controversial Thai interview

Recently, hip-hop dance group, Block B (블락비) created stirs controversy due to their interview in Thailand. During the interview, when asked about their opinion on the recent Thai flood, leader ZICO commented that he hoped to help the Thai people through donations but later comment that he had only 7,000 Won.

This issue made K-pop idols 2PM Nichkhun; who is a Thai citizen himself and U-KISS Dongho.

Nichkhun wrote on his twitter in Korean “태국의 홍수피해 관련된 일들에 대해 별 생각없이 말씀하시는 분들,태국인인 입장에서 기분이 나쁘네요.그리고 태국에 오셔서 생각없이 행동하시는것 보단,이 나라에 대한 예의를 갖춰주시고,올바르게 인식할줄 아는 태도도 갖춰주세요”, which is roughly translated, ”Being a Thai citizen, I am offended by people who commented about the Thai flooding without thinking. If you come to Thailand, rather than acting without thinking, please respect this country and behave with proper attitude”.

Dongho tweeted on 20th February 2012, “”7,000원짜리 가수다”, meaning ”Singer worth 7,000 Won” but later deleted the tweet and apologized due to controversy.

Meanwhile, Block B apologised on their official website. Leader ZICO has taken responsibility and shaved his head with remorse.

Apparently, this is not the first time Block B made controversial comments about natural disasters.

During an interview in Japan, Block B’s member- Kyung commented, “ “Right now there’s a tsunami raging outside. We will sweep over here like a tsunami,” while another member makes a tsunami motion with his hands while laughing.

Yesterday (January 30th) was the pilot of Dream High 2. Many fans anticipated for Kim Soohyun’s cameo in the first episode. He will be acting as celebrity idol, Song Sam Dong. He will reenact the bus “goodbye kiss” scene with Jiyeon of T-ara that he had previously done with Suzy of miss A in season 1. Here are the screen captures!

T-ara: Hwayoung’s wardrobe malfunction scandal

Despite winning the triple crown honour, T-ara was devastated by member Hwayoung’s wadrobe malfunction on January 29th’s episode of SBS Inkigayo.

Hwayoung together with 3 other members of T-ara on January 29th. They won the triple crown win .

The event happened when T-ara performed “Lovey Dovey” live on Inkigayo when Hwayoung, who was wearing the above outfit. During her dance solo, she accidentally exposed her chest area due to the tapes that held the microphone wires under her outfit. Netizens made screen captures, which circulated in Korean media portals, blogs and Twitter.

T-ara’s agency, Core Contents Media has released an official statement: “Because of Hwayoung’s young age, she was very shocked and frightened by the event. Even now, she remains very shocked. The incident was purely accidental as it happened due to the loosening of the tapes that held the microphone wires under her outfit”.

It’s really very unfortunate for Hwayoung as she is only 18. The triple crown win became a stressful reminder of this unfortunate incident. Let’s hope that Hwayoung and the rest of T-ara’s members will overcome this incident.

TVXQ reunion through the help of Ayumi Hamasaki?

Recently, a Japanese source reported that Avex Trax will act as a saviour to reunite TVXQ(DBSK).

Japanese pop star, Ayumi Hamasaki is said to be negotiating on both sides since she is influential in Avex Trax and is said to be a fan of TVXQ and a close friend of TVXQ’s Jaejoong, who appeared in her music video, “blossom”. She also collaborated with TVXQ’s Junsu’s twin brother, Juno with the song, “Why” featured in her latest mini album, “FIVE”.

While many fans were excited to hear the news, there are some fans who are skeptical and thinks it’s unlikely for them to reunion.

Currently, there is no official statement regarding this issue. Hopefully, there will be good news regarding their reunion.
