Seoul Yummy @ The Central is located at Eu Tong Sen Street, Clarke Quay. The restaurant provides Korean cuisine lovers with delicious Korean food and great value.
Seoul Yummy is a casual dining restaurant and the restaurant has simple furnishing. Korean songs are played in the restaurant. They have good services. However, the waiters do not understand me when I asked for “Gochujang”.
Seoul Yummy offers great variety of Banchan. Not all are authentic Korean side dishes though. You can ask for more Banchan in Seoul Yummy, which is the same with Korean restaurants in Korea. I especially like their Dubu-jorim (두부조림), which is the tofu with sesame oil, soya sauce and chili.
Jeon (전) is traditional Korean pancake, which are usually eaten during rainy days. This simple jeon is deliciously made even without much ingredients.
Seoul Yummy’s Mandu is pretty delicious. However, the dumplings taste like those dumplings you find in Korean supermarket. It’s still worth a try for mandu lovers.
Kimchi jjigae (김치찌개)
Kimchi jjigae is a Korean Kimchi stew, with ingredients such as tofu, onions and pork. Seoul Yummy’s Kimchi jjigae is delicious and best eaten while still steaming hot. The stew is almost authentic to the ones you find in Korea. I would prefer it if it were more sour.
Kimchi jjigae: 8/10
Seoul Yummy’s Naengmyeon is worth a try! I am a fan of naengmyeon but it’s hard to find delicious ones in Singapore. Seoul Yummy’s naengmyeon didn’t disappoint and I recommend this dish for those who love Korean cold noodles!
Overall, Seoul Yummy’s food is pretty good. Currently there are two outlets in Singapore and they are both conveniently located in shopping malls. Worth the price!
