“No Breathing (노브레싱)” is a sports/youth theme movie that surrounds Jeong Woo-sang (Lee Jong-suk), a national swimmer affectionately called the “Nation’s Little Brother (국민남동생)” and Jo Won-il (Seo In-guk), a gifted swimmer but stopped swimming due to an incident that made him detest the sports.

The movie comes from the same write as As One, which starred Ha Ji-won, Bae Doo-na and Lee Jong-suk. It follows the same “frenemy” relationship between the two leads.

Lee Jong-suk, the trend of 2013 has proved himself with “School 2013” and “I Hear Your Voice”. However, he continues to play the role of a cool teenager with an indifferent face. He even wears his earphone like his character of “I Hear Your Voice”. Despite the similarity, he did decently well.

LEE Jong-suk’s Profile:
Korean Name: 이종석 (李鐘奭)
Date of birth: September 14, 1989
Place of birth: Yongin City, Gyeonggi-do, R.O.K (경기도 용인시)

 Seo In Guk

Seo In Guk (9ers Entertainment)

I used to have prejudice against acting-dols (singer who acts). Despite the rave of Seo In-guk’s acting skills for “Reply 1997 (응답하라 1997)”, I consider him as a decent for a singer. However, after watching the movie, he definitely commit his character of Won-il and made the role’s charm warranted. He is the key character to make everyone in the theater laugh and tear.

SEO In-guk’s Profile:
Korean Name: 서인국 (徐仁國)
Date of Birth:  October 23, 1987
Place of Birth: Ulsan (울산광역시)

Yuri (9ers Entertainment)

SNSD’s Kwon Yuri plays Jung Eun, the love interest of both Woo-sang and Won-il. Jung Eun is the typical girl-next-door who dreams to be a singer. She did her best in portraying her character but definitely not a breakthrough role.

KWON Yu-ri’s Profile:
Korean Name: 권유리 (權兪利)
Date of Birth: December 5, 1989
Place of Birth: Goyang, Gyeonggi-do

Those who likes sports-theme movie such as “As One (Korea)” will definitely love this movie.

Overall: 7.5/10

Release Dates:
Korea: October 30, 2013
Singapore: December 5, 2013
Hong Kong: December 12, 2013
Taiwan: December 13, 2013
