Korean school uniform (particularly high school uniform) which we call it Gyobok (교복) in Korean has been a fashion statement amongst the Korean youths. The reason behind this is because school uniform retailers used idols for their advertisements and also the popularity of teen idol dramas which were often based in a high school. The examples of the dramas are “Goong 궁”, “Boys Over Flowers 꽃보다남자“, “Playful Kiss장난스런 키스” and “Dream High 드림 하이“.

Kim Ryeowook is known to be one of the best vocalists in Super Junior and he has recently sang for the O.S.T for the dramas “President 프레지던트” and “Home Sweet Home 즐거운 나의집”. Super Junior sub-group, Super Junior-M will be releasing a Mandopop album this year.
Lee Jooyeon is from the girl group – After School. They received great success last year with the song “BANG!”. We certainly hope After School will release another great hit song this year!

Not only there’re Christmas and New Year, the Korean pop scene is lined up with three Music Festivals namely SBS Gayo Daejun (SBS 가요대전), KBS Music Festival (2010 KBS 가요대축제) and MBC Gayo Dajeun (MBC 가요대전).
